non action points 28-21, + 6.54
Action points 5-0, + 47 action units
So far this year my record is 33-21 total, which includes 5-0 on action points and 13-11 on teasers. I'm going to play a teaser and one 1st quarter this week. I'll post the first quarter play late Sat or Sunday-whenever Pinnacle comes off their dime limit on quarters. I'm looking to play some half times this week. Well, I have been playing some halftimes, but plan to post some of them this week. I feel that halftimes are some of the best bets and have had a great deal of success with them in the past.
Also I saw at the main forum this week that someone was saying that ABC was changing their teaser odds, etc. This is not true. I just spoke with them and there are no changes, and I just made the following teaser play.
Play # 1 Philly -1 and Jets PK / 6.5 point teaser laying 107 at ABC where ties are wins.
If I posted two unit plays this would be one of them. I do not see either of these teams losing this week.
I saw this past week that ACE/ACE played the Broncos on Monday night on the Money line at -290. Many comments included that when you have a teaser you have to win two games, but with the ML it's only one. One must think about the juice involved when making such a decision. Laying 290 as opposed to 110 on a 7 point teaser is a big price to pay. Think about this for a moment.
If this week I wanted to ML Eagles it's -329 and the line is 7.5. The ML on the Seahawks is 342 with the line at 8. So If I ML both of them to win one unit each the best I could do is + 200. The worst is - 771, and if they split it would be a loss of between -229 and -242. If you just two team teased both of them together for 2 units at ABC where ties are winners you could have the:
Eagles -.5, Seahawks - 1 - basically the same as both on the ML if bet at ABC. Best case here is + 200, worst case is -220. I would feel more comfortable teasing the one team with every other team on the board than taking them on a high ML. Take it for what it's worth, but I feel there is no question what is better.
On the flip side, if ABC or Millennium were not around for teasers I would be much more hesitant in making this endorsment. If ABC were not around with there teaser odds I would play very few teasers.
